05/28/2010 - Cincinnati, OH (Sportsbook Betting Lines) - One day after announcing that Bud Norris will miss his next scheduled start, the Houston Astros placed the right-hander on the 15-day disabled list with bursitis and biceps tendinitis in his right arm.

Norris was examined on Friday and received a cortisone injection after his MRI results were normal. He is eligible to be activated from the disabled list on June 8.

Norris has struggled in his second major league season, compiling a 2-5 record with a 6.80 earned run average in nine starts.

To replace his spot on the roster, the team recalled pitcher Gustavo Chacin from Triple-A Round Rock. He has made four relief appearances for the Astros, allowing a run in 5 1/3 innings.
